Abstract

Using a computer simulation in the ANSYS Workbench 14.5 software, the investigation of a rectangular 18000x3600 mm welded roof truss was performed. The values of stresses and deformations along the
bottom chord of a construction and the place of formation of their peak values are revealed. The sites in the elements of the structures that determine the overall supporting ability of the truss were determined. Based on the
results of calculations, you can increase the bearing capacity of the structure by local strengthening of the bottom chord of the truss between the lateral nodes. The described modeling technique can be used both in the design of
trusses, and for the verification calculations of trusses which are operated to prevent the onset of the limit state under the action of possible power influences
